| Former Pennsylvania governor praises president-elect: 'Joe Biden is a good man' |

| [The Hill.... as expected] Former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell (D) praised President-elect Joe Biden as a "good man" following his victory over Donald Trump on Saturday to become the nation’s 46th president. During an interview with John Catsimatidis on WABC 770 AM radio show, Rendell said America "needs a whole lot of goodness" after the polarizing 2020 election, and hailed Biden as a "good man" and a "fair man." "And when he says he’s going to be president for red states and blue states alike, he means it," Rendell said. "I think he will treat everybody fairly and try to do the best he can for all American citizens," he continued. During his 2020 campaign, Biden repeatedly said that he was running as a proud Democrat, but if elected, he would be an American president, representing all Americans. Rendell, former chair of the Democratic National Committee, further stated that Biden is the best person to unify the country. He touted the President-elect as a moderate, noting his friendships with Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Mitt Romney (R-Utah). |
