'Whoa' – Faux News cuts off Kayleigh McEnany for 'illegal votes' spiel
2020-11-10
[Guardian] Fox News has cut away from a briefing held by the White House press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, during which she repeated Donald Trump’s refusal to accept defeat in the presidential election and doubled down on allegations of voter fraud, for which there is scant if any evidence.

Speaking to media on Monday night in her "personal capacity" during what she said was a campaign event at the Republican National Committee headquarters, McEnany said Republicans want "every legal vote to be counted, and every illegal vote to be discarded", prompting the conservative Fox News network to stop broadcasting the briefing.

From the studio, host Neil Cavuto said: "Whoa, whoa, whoa — I just think we have to be very clear. She’s charging the other side as welcoming fraud and welcoming illegal voting. Unless she has more details to back that up, I can’t in good countenance continue to show you this."

He added: "I want to make sure that maybe they do have something to back that up, but that’s an explosive charge to make, that the other side is effectively rigging and cheating. If she does bring proof of that, of course we’ll take you back. So far she has started saying, right at the outset — ’welcoming fraud, welcoming illegal voting’. Not so fast."

The decision to cut away was Cavuto’s, the Washington Post reported, citing people familiar with the show.

#11  They cut away because she was "making claims without evidence". Cut away literally 15 seconds before she started producing that evidence.

#10  It's been said Murdoch goes whichever way the wind is blowing.

Meanwhile, I still await the sexual harassment/racial slur "allegations" against Tucker.

#8  Janine and Tucker better find a new site to broadcast from. Fox is smelling like fox pi$$, if ya know what I mean.

#7  Wow this "journalism" sure sounds different to their false accusations of Russia meddling in the 2016 election helping President Trump win...

#5  "Without evidence" claims:
Absentee ballots mysteriously piling into closed-door Democrat-run tabulating centers in the wee hours, with hundreds of thousands marked only for one race and all of them for one candidate in that race, is not evidence of fraud.

Dead-certain, gospel truth and/or "walls-closing-in"-style claims:
- One of the country's most respected jurists is a gang rapist.
- The most anti-Russian president in history us actually an agent of the Kremlin.
- Violent anarchists and left-wing self-proclaimed Marxist revolutionaries who've killed over 30 people in more than 150 nights of riots are "peaceful protestors."
- Joe Biden never involved himself in his son's business ventures with Chinese Communist officials

There is that "making claims without evidence" thingie again. You are not allowed to make claims without providing the legal, physical, numerical evidence. And if you do have that, I'm sorry, we don't have time for it all in a short sound-bite interview.

#2  Whoa whoa whoa!

*hands Fox Networks another gallon of gasoline*

Its quite the day when Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are the most honest reporters for the syndicate.

Allegations of Russian Election interference, allegations of improper conduct by a supreme court nominee, knees to the ceiling 30 hours of coverage each day.

"Among other things, kinda strange the party opposed to voter ID had 100,000 Al Frankens show up to vote after pub hours."

grrarrgh!
