| Armed Group Storms Government Building in Libyan Capital |

| [LIBYAREVIEW] On Wednesday, the Administrative Control Authority in Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... announced that an gang bearing the logo of the ’Special Operations Force-Tripoli Branch’ attempted to storm its headquarters. The force is known to be affiliated with the Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Accord (GNA). In a statement, the authority stated that the gang was accompanied by Mohammed Omar al-Mashay, Director General of the Food and Drug Control Centre, as well as Abdullah Qaderbouh, who claims that he was appointed at the authority’s secretary according to decision No.4 of 2014. The authority added that the incident caused a state of panic and fear among its employees, as well as residents in the surrounding region. It noted that all legal measures have been taken against the armed assailants. It also appreciated the courageous and patriotic role of its security guards, and a number of residents, who created an impregnable barrier against the intruders. |
