USAA Announces 3-Year, $50 Million Commitment to Advance Racial Equality |
2020-11-25 |
"At USAA, we strive to create an environment where all employees feel like they truly belong and have the opportunity to reach their full potential," USAA President and CEO Wayne Peacock said. "This commitment extends to the communities in which we live and work. It’s our mission to care for military families, a community that reflects our nation’s racial, social and economic diversity — and the complex issues that come with it. We recognize that there is more USAA can do to help close inequality gaps, and these investments are a fundamental part of our efforts." |

#15 And I'm sure every customer whose claim had just been rejected is just peachy. |

#14 $4+operating expenses is more than what they would have got by asking instead of taking. Cost each member a lunch, so the next time they eat they might get yelled at by Blamtifa. |

#12 According to their website, USAA has over 13 million members. This means that the 50 mil for wokeness is less than $4/member. They also returned $280 mil to members as rebates on their policy premiums. USAA member for almost 50 years, even though I worked for GEICO for 11. |

#11 /\ Good question. Second question, how does this woke, take-a-knee bullshi* impact our 'soon to be deposited' subscriber savings dividend ? |

#10 I'd wonder how much of my premium is an overcharge for this kind of petty money burning a hole in someone's pocket. |

#9 So management contends that the company until now has been racist? Or do they refer to the DoD? |

#8 Time for a shareholder's revolt and lawsuits for fiscal irresponsibility. |

#7 USAA sells insurance to military, discharged, retired and their families. They probably sell to the general public by now. This will go over well w/ their targeted customer base. |

#5 "At USAA, we strive to create an environment where all employees feel like they truly belong and have the opportunity to reach their full potential," USAA President and CEO Wayne Peacock said. Whatever that bullshit's supposed to mean. I guess USAA doesn't have any shareholders from whom Wayne-o should receive at least tacit support from before pissing $50 mill away. |
