Suspected balloon-borne explosive found in southern Israel near Gaza
2020-12-03
[IsraelTimes] A suspected balloon-borne bomb apparently launched from the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip was found Tuesday in southern Israel, following a lull in the launching of airborne incendiary objects from the Paleostinian enclave.

The Hof Ashkelon Regional Council said the device was found in a local community, with a photo showing an object attached to a balloon in the middle of the field.

A police sapper was defusing the object, according to the regional council.

There were no reports of injuries or damage.

The discovery of the device follows several attacks emanating from Gaza the past month, including the firing of two rockets toward southern and central Israel that the military reportedly determined were set off by a lightning strike. In October the IDF said it uncovered a Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, attack tunnel dug from Gaza into Israel.

Amid the rising tensions, the Israel Defense Forces held a drill last month simulating a war in the Hamas-ruled Strip.

The practice of launching balloon-borne incendiary and bombs from the Gaza Strip toward Israel has waxed and waned over the past two years, with the last major uptick in airborne attacks taking place in August.

Israel has fought three large campaigns against terror groups in Gaza since Hamas wrested control of the enclave in 2007, along with dozens of smaller exchanges.
The Jerusalem Post adds:
Two weeks ago, incendiary and explosive balloons were reportedly launched by the Al-Zawari balloon unit from the Gaza Strip.
No doubt named for Hamas’s former top aviation engineer, Mohammed al-Zoari (or Mohammed al-Zawari), who developed armed drones for Hamas’s Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. He was rubbed out in Tunisia in 2016 by two Bosnian assassins for an international team.
