Officials Defuse 4 IEDs across Afghanistan
2020-12-08
[KhaamaPress] A special unit of the Afghan National Police (ANP) defused at least four Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) after a "point-to-point" search in several provinces of Afghanistan, said the Ministry of Interior Affairs in a statement Monday.

According to the statement, security forces carried operations in capital city Kabul, including Sar-e-Pul
...a city and eponymous province in northern Afghanistan, population about 500,000. Demographically it is majority Tadjik and Uzbek. There are small Pashtun, Arab, and Hazara communities, of which the Hazaras mostly don't bother anyone...
and Faryab provinces, where they discovered the explosive.

"The engineering teams of ANP following point-to-point search operations, managed to discover & defuse four IEDs in Kabul, Sar-e-Pul & Faryab provinces," said the MoIA in a tweet.

Officials did not provide further details, but said "the Death Eaters had planted the bombs to target the innocent civilians."

The Taliban

did not immediately comment on the incident.

Usually the Taliban claim responsibly for roadside mine explosion and similar explosives throughout Afghanistan.
