| #3 islam says zakat has to be voluntary, like err... shahada. As I understand it, voluntary for true Muslims, Dron66046. All unbelievers pay jizya, which is whatever the ruling Muslim authorities and the person collecting it from the unbeliever he faces say it is, up to all he has plus his life. The synthesis of the argument is that to takfiris like ISIS, any Muslim who does not completely agree with their thinking is apostate, and must therefore be treated like any other unbeliever. |

| #1 Zakat is donation to the cause. It's actually meant to be 'alms for the poor', but this is what it means now. Incidentally, islam says zakat has to be voluntary, like err... shahada. But who cares? |
