Pres. Trump Won't Start a Third Party, but Instead Will Target Never-Trump Republicans |
2021-01-26 |
[PJ] Last week, it was reported that President Trump was interested in starting a new political party called the "Patriot Party." This controversial idea had many pros and cons, but while it may send a symbolic message to the GOP, ultimately it is far more likely that such a move would only benefit Democrats, in both the short and long terms. Luckily, President Trump has now decided against the idea of starting a third party, according to Maggie Haberman of the New York Times. Instead, Trump will focus his energy on bolstering primary challenges to Never-Trump Republicans. On Sunday, PJM’s Rick Moran reported that Trump is drafting an "enemies list" of Republicans to challenge during the 2022 primaries. |

#10 Trump playing Kingmaker in 2022 will only increase the numbers and most of the Bush-friendly GOP will decide to avoid re-election and embarrassment in 2024. |

#9 I am sure some of us are also thinking it may be a Political tactic to garner Senate Votes for support against the upcoming Impeachment vote. But I have know doubt TRUMP will be a POLITICAL FORCED the RNC/RINOS will have and MUST deal with to feel safe in any upcoming election in the next 10 years. If the Deep State does not arrange his earlier retirement. Like an "Accident" or Weaponizing the IRS again... Then stealing his $$$$, assets and tying up any funds collected to steer future RINO/RNC Political elections. |

#7 Yes, make the Booshes and McShames spend spend spend to stay in the game. Make them hemorrhage money and still wind up outside looking in. That's the way to go. |

#6 When 70% of your party say they love you, that is your party. It'd be foolish to jump parties. Trump should work to increase that 70% as the new GOP is far more like the Reagan GOP than the Bush version. |

#5 Doesn't matter. Dems own and control the entire corrupt national and local voting processes. |

#4 why the fuck is it so controversial to start a third party? Fuck EVERY last politician in Washington. Term limits and to get rid of ebery damn 1 of them in Washington DC is what is needed. |

#1 Good. Representative Liz Cheney and at least one other, whose identity I can’t remember at the moment, have gotten formal feedback from their state GOP organizations about their votes supporting impeachment in the House. I imagine this is why Senator Portman (R - OH) is being so circumspect about his intensions, unlike Senators Mittens Romney and Mitch McConnell. |
