Black Lives Matter movement nominated for Nobel peace prize

[Guardian] Norwegian MP cites global impact of BLM in raising awareness and consciousness of racial injustice
The International Participation Trophy
The Black Lives Matter movement has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel peace prize for the way its call for systemic change has spread around the world.
They are perfectly matched to the previous perfidious winners. As for me, if nominated I will reject it; if selected I will not accept it — the Nobel Peace Prize does not meet my standards.
In his nomination papers, the Norwegian MP Petter Eide said the movement had forced countries outside the US to grapple with racism within their own societies.
Per the Babylon Bee, this is for the 'Mostly Peaceful Prize'...

#15  I'm still waiting for one single instance where BLM actually helps someone who's black. Telling them how 'oppressed' they are doesn't count. And no, I'm not foolish enough to hold my breath.

#14  Even Erdogan will not accept the Nobel

"No matter how much they want to give it to me."

#13   until 2058, long after we're all death.

I’ll probably still be here — the family tends toward extreme longevity. Let me just put a reminder in my calendar... ;-)

#12  I wouldn't mind seeing a street match between Antifa/BLM and a large group of English football 'fans'...

#11  Watched some of the Arsenal-ManU game, and in one corner of the Emirates Stadium was a big BLM banner (since no fans).

I'm just so tired of this. (BTW, even the footballers take a knee at kick-off.)

#10  The only Nobel prize winners I respect are Mother Teresa and Norman Borlaug.

#9  Depends on how they define demonstration. Is one person walking down the street with a frown a 'demonstration'?
Posted by: CrazyFool   2021-01-30 12:50

#8  Data assembled by the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data project in September 2020 showed that 93% of Black Lives Matter demonstrations involved no serious harm to people or property.

Data assembled by the FAA showed Hindenberg flight 99% successful!

#7  All validity was lost with Soetoro's award. Little more than a modern-day Goldenes Parteiabzeichen.

#6  Damn - down $1.00.

You guys take change? I got a bunch of dimes here...

#5  Seems like the primary consideration for a Nobel "Peace Prize" this century is the willingness to use Alfred Nobel's invention to attain your goals.

#2  Not surprised....
because lately it seems anyone with, $$$$ and enough political savvy can nominated someone or a Fringe group. Winning it seems lately is based on "special status", "Privilege Shame" and the PC issue of the year. More than actually earning it by making peace.

Interesting to note:
There is 50 year secrecy rule imposed.

"The Committee does not itself announce the names of nominees, neither to the media nor to the candidates themselves." So if certain names pop up in the media in advance it is likely $$$$ funded PR campaign not the actual Nobel Committee. Also the Nobel Committee’s nomination database is not made public until after fifty years."

Example we will not know who pulled funded OBAMA's until 2058, long after we're all death.

Here is the Link covering how the process is handled.

#1  "A Nobel is a fine opportunity
To promote racial justice and unity,
So let's praise BLM--"
"Yo, da f-ck? Why just them?
Why the hell not the whole Black community?"
