How Not to Be a Sh!thole Country: Lessons from South Africa by Joel Pollock (Breitbart editor)
[Amazon] The U.S is on the threshold of radical political change, following months of unrest. Incoming President Joe Biden pledges to "transform" America and "rip the roots of systemic racism out of this country." South Africa has attempted a similar kind of "transformation" since its transition to democracy in 1994. In both countries, a utopian left-wing movement has decided that formal, legal equality is insufficient, and that the constitution is an obstacle to progress. Before the U.S. embarks on a dangerous political journey, it should consider the lessons -- both positive and negative -- of South Africa's experience. This ebook draws on President Donald Trump's infamous alleged quip about "sh!thole countries." Though he denied making the profane comment, it is a useful shorthand for what neither the U.S. nor South Africa would wish to become -- but which "transformation" could condemn them to be.

#6  This is an old rerun of the Obama admin. Only these left overs are as old as hell.

#5  No it's not. Both Civil and common law have a lot 8n common and diverge in procedure and how to approach a legal issue.
Personally I prefer the civil code to the anarchotyranny by malevolent elites

#3  In other words, common law defines what you can't do while leaving you free to do everything else, while the Napoleonic Code, also known as civil law, is a top-down system that often becomes a vastly more bureaucratic and controlling approach to governing citizens, effectively spelling out in detail what you can do, under a "Government knows best" mantra

#2  I'm anxiously awaiting the appointment of a "Truth & Reconciliation Commission" followed closely by hearings and trials. They should all be arriving very soon.
