including three key members of the group were killed in a special operation conducted by the Afghan cops in Faryab province, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to MoD, The group’s affiliated members were targeted by the Afghan Airforce and Afghan security members in a special operation in which 21 Taliban were killed and further 18 others were maimed in Almar and Qaisar districts of Faryab province.
The key Taliban members killed in this operation are Qari Sharif known as Shahram, Qari Mehrab is known as Rahimi, and Qari Maazullah.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
