| CJNG, Juarez cartels join forces in Chihuhua state |

| Jalisco Nueva Generacion and Juarez cartel have joined forces, to maintain dominance in Chihuahua state, according to a news report in El Heraldo de Chihuahua. The Procuradoria Justicia del Estado (PJE), apparently have released data after an increase of drug and gang related violence had been reported since last December. Two dedicated armed elements of Juarez cartel, La Linea and La Empresa have been recorded in armed confrontations and attacks against local Sinaloa gangs, by authorities in Chihuahua city, the capital of Chihuahua state. According to the report, the purpose of the alliance was a counter to encroachment by armed elements of the Sinaloa cartel. Also, according to the report, CJNG has an alliance with the Tijuana cartel, even going as far as renaming the criminal organization as Tijuana Cartel Nueva Generacion. |
