attack on their outpost in Zabul on Sunday night, Zabul police chief Hekmat Kochi said.
The attack took place at around 9 pm local time on a highway that connects the city of Qalat with Sahr-e-Safa district, he said, adding that "two Taliban were also killed and three others were maimed in the attack."
The Taliban has not commented over the incident.
