Kurt Schlichter: Our Military's SJW-Driven Abandonment of Warfighting Is Going to Get Troops Killed
2021-02-23
(townhall) It gives me no pleasure to say that I no longer recommend that young people join the military, and I’m not alone. The non-Blue Falcon veteran community is in full revolt against the conscious decision to decline embraced by our current military leadership. After failing to win a war in the last 20 years — and don’t say Syria, because the second President * woke up in the Oval Office wondering how he got there, more of our troops were heading back into the hellscape for reasons no one has bothered to articulate — the military has decided to target an easier enemy, i.e., other Americans.

See, the problem with me and the other vets who are disgusted by the brass’s choice to focus on SJW priorities instead of, you know, successfully deterring or defeating America’s enemies, is that we actually listened to what we were taught when we were coming up. Most of us were trained by the heroes who put the shattered American military together after the Democrat war in Vietnam broke it. We learned about leadership, about putting mission first but taking care of people always, and about objectives and how to attain them.

None of that’s a thing anymore.

#4  But Revolutionary Guards has such a ring to it. Besides, who is more likely to operate or program a remote weapon system to strike targets within the USA?

In the meantime, those who do not pass the purity test get a trip to The Horn of Africa to secure Chinese Mines.

#3  As a civilian, I had to internet search Blue Falcon. Not a term of endearment...

#2  From Peter Whitewood, The Red Army and the Great Terror:

"There was of course no truth in the charges against the Tukhachevskii group: there was no ‘military-fascist plot’ or genuine conspiracy in the Red Army..."

Substitute US military for Red Army and white supremacist for "fascist."

Another parallel is the Wokesters' fear and loathing of the social element that predominates in the military. Per Whitewood here's "the key to understanding the [Bolsheviks', not just Stalin's ] military purge":

...the Red Army was continually the subject of deep security anxieties and believed to be under a near-constant threat of subversion. The most serious perceived threats to the Red Army identified by the Bolsheviks before the military purge include:

Former imperial officers from the disbanded Tsarist army. Such officers enlisted in the Red Army during the Russian Civil War and 1920s and brought with them valuable expertise. They were, however, viewed as the enemy within.

Actually, you don't even need to change the wording to spot the parallel here-- just put 'White' in lower-case:

Former White officers who had fought against the Bolsheviks during the Civil War similarly enlisted in the Red Army and were regarded with even more suspicion.

And for peasant soldiers, just substitute "Southern white soldiers":

Peasant soldiers formed the bulk of the Red Army, but their reliability was always in doubt. During the collectivization drive of the late 1920s and early 1930s, the loyalty of peasant soldiers seriously wavered as the regime dispossessed peasant families of their belongings and forced farmers into collective units.
