| Roadside bombing kills 5 Pakistani workers, wounds 2 troops |

| [DailyTimes.pk] A vehicle carrying Pak construction workers hit a roadside kaboom in a remote area in southwestern Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... province on Friday, killing five laborers and wounding two soldiers who were escorting them, a government official said. No one grabbed credit for the attack, and Zahid Shah, a deputy commissioner in the district of Sibi where the bombing happened said they were still investigating. Troops often escort laborers in the volatile southwestern Pakistain for security reasons. Balochistan has been the scene of a long-running insurgency by Baluch separatist groups such as the Balochistan Liberation Front and the Balochistan Liberation Army, which for decades have attacked government forces to press their demands for independence. The region also has bad boy groups that stage regular attacks. |
