Georgetown University fires professor for violating a taboo on discussing Black academic performance
2021-03-13
[American Thinker] A conversation on the academic performance of Black law students between two faculty members teaching at Georgetown following a Zoom session was recorded and posted online without their knowledge. As a result, one of them has been fired and tearfully apologized, while the other one is "on leave until the investigation by the Office of Diversity, Equity and Affirmative Action is complete" for failing to react in outrage over what the dean of the law school termed "reprehensible statements concerning the evaluation of Black students." Both professors are adjunct faculty, meaning they are professionals brought in teach students with their real world experience, and they have no tenure protections.

Here is the 43 seconds of video that engendered the indignation:

#7  Never, ever, mention that all this virtual signalling and woke-ness isn't helping a damn bit and is, in fact making things much worse!

#6  Remember the Bell Curve Controversy and the day intellectual inquisition that followed. Some thoughts are heresy. These sad twits made the mistake of being honest amidst the Stazi world of academia. Career executions are mandatory and promptly “pour encourager les autres. “

#5  The tears just make wokists happy. Never apologize to the mob.

Both of them are cancelled, forever. They're gonna be lucky to get a job at the Slovakian Technical College of Tractor Maintenance after this.

#4  The people I've found most able to solve a problem, are the people who can see the problem no matter how ugly.

Indeed, isn't that a quality you strive to find in your doctor, business consultant, firefighter, or your personal lawyer?

#1  .....tearfully apologized

Totally insufficient. Her observations could set the WOKE movement back decades. An example must be made before others decide to provide validating evidence or so-called genetic markers.
