Boko Haram: Terrorists made 4 attempts in 5 days to capture Damasak in Borno — Resident
2021-03-21
[DAILYPOST.NG] Residents and NGO workers in Damasak, a local government in the northern part of Borno State in northeast Nigeria
... a particularly crimson stretch of Islam's bloody border...
said in five days they have experienced four attack attempts by the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
of West African Province, ISWAP to take over the town. Damasak is about 160km from Maiduguri the Borno State capital and has experienced a series of attacks by both the ISWAP elements and the mother body — Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
, which is led by the spiritual leader, Abubakar Shekau
...the lunatic leader of Boko Haram who has been reported dead at least eleven times, pledged his body and soul to ISIS, told his fighters to hang it up once or twice, and been fired by the Caliph and refused to step down. Last seen in 2017, sneaking into Cameroon while wearing a burka...
According to some NGO staff in Damasak, the last attempt in the series of four left some NGO vehicles burnt by the forces of Evil while fleeing from the Nigerian troops after being overwhelmed.

It could be recalled that about two weeks ago the forces of Evil temporarily took over Damasak where they engaged the Nigerian troops resulting in the tactical withdrawal of soldiers.

The town was later retaken by troops after over four hours of battle that left 39 hard boyz dead.

Residents lamented that they do not know why the hard boyz are so interested in taking over Damasak and urged the Nigeria government and military to prepare for the next onslaught.

"We are tired of continuous attack in our local government. Most of our people have returned to IDP camps after the last deadly attack in Damasak. Yesterday some of our people arrived in Maiduguri and they were sharing their experience following the four attempts by ISWAP to enter Damasak.

"We were worried because we know they will still come back even though we are not praying for that, but everybody who knows Damasak and how they have been attempting to take over will definitely be expecting when next they will come." Ma’aji Damasak, displaced peoples’ leader, in Bakassi IDP camp in Maiduguri said.
