The explosion happened at around 1 pm in Khost province on Sunday, according to local police.

Police stated that at least eight people were maimed in the blast.

A motobike was reportedly loaded with explosive and later exploded at Mujahid square in the city.

All of the maimed individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment.
