| Bad day at a Vegas gun range for Marvin Peyton (video) |

| [Guns America] A man was shot and killed at a Las Vegas gun range last month after he tried to rob one of the range patrons and attacked police officers responding to the scene. The man was shot and killed by one of the responding officers as well as three gun range employees after he started stabbing an officer with a screwdriver. The man had a history of assaulting police officers, according to local media. "It didn’t seem like they wanted to get involved but when they saw what occurred, that’s when they took action," Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Assistant Sheriff Brett Zimmerman said at a press conference, referring to the gun range employees. "Their training and tactics were along the lines of our officers, they saw the same threat, our officer fired and they fired." Video from the incident shows Marvon Peyton, Jr., 27, rifling through a bag belonging to a man who was a student at one of the range’s gun classes. Peyton had entered during a class break, and the bag contained the man’s firearm, according to Zimmerman. |
