| #1 Following the visit of Jerusalem's Grand Mufti to visit with Hitler in Berlin in November 1941, German intelligence created a Middle East Bureau devoted specifically to Middle East issues and supported the Mufti's aims. Later, German intelligence followed Muslim events closely both in Germany and abroad since its recreation as West Germany. Thus, its knowledge of Islamist penetration of Europe is encyclopedic, but its activity is greatly circumscribed by left wing politicians. Its recent activity is an indication that Muslim-initiated events are spiraling out of control. |
