[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] - Bodycam footage shows the arrest in May 2019 of Ronald Greene, 49
...more fully Ronald A. Greene, though under neither name has he appeared in our archives....
in Monroe County, Louisiana
...more precisely in Union Parish...
- Troopers can be seen tasering him before he is able to leave his car
- At one point one officer is seen dragging him face down by his feet while his hands are cuffed behind his back
- Greene was reportedly left on the ground for nine minutes as troopers cleaned his blood off themselves
- He died shortly afterwards, with his cause of death listed as cardiac arrest
- Troopers claimed Greene had died after crashing his car into a tree, but the new footage of his final moments proves otherwise
Appears to show otherwise, anyway. So often in these cases it’s turned out that a longer video, or one taken from a different angle, or more background on the dead guy in question reveal that it was his fault he died, and the police were just doing their best under impossible circumstances.
- The family has filed a federal wrongful death lawsuit
- Greene had led troopers on a 150 mile-per-hour chase
Oh? And why did he choose to do such a stupid thing?
- The cause of death was not clear, according to a coroner's report
Heart failure. In the end it's all heart failure
