| Canada finds no evidence Iran's downing of airliner was premeditated |

| [Ynet] Canada said on Thursday it had found no evidence that Iran's downing of a Ukrainian passenger plane last year had been premeditated, and condemned what it called the incompetence and recklessness of those responsible. Iran has admitted it shot down the airliner shortly after takeoff from Tehran in January 2020, killing 176 people, and blamed a "disastrous mistake" by forces on high alert during a confrontation with the United States. A special Canadian forensic team charged with examining all available information about the incident, including classified intelligence, said it had "found no evidence that Iranian officials ordered the shoot-down or that it was premeditated". |

| #2 Iran and Russia are strategic allies. Iran and Russia are military allies in the wars and terrorism against Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. Russia provides Arms/Ammo/Missiles and a lot of other things to Iran via the shared Iranian/Russia border. Now the hook. Russia is openly hostile and continuously threatening the Ukraine's and has repeatedly militarily toed the line with Ukrainians. Less we forget, Russia shot down Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 (MH17) back in July of 2014, while it was flying over Ukraine. Accident?.......Maybe. But there sure is a lot of Political Elbow rubbing going on. |
