| #7 On National People's Radio yesterday they were gloating about this. The announcer made a point of saying Trump's returns will *not* be made public. Not officially, of course, that would be illegal. But you know someone is going to leak them at first opportunity. Prediction: Given that Trump's returns have been scrutinized for years, I don't expect any news on the tax crime front. There will be shocking revelations like the fact that Trump has paid *NO TAXES* on a bazillion dollars in real estate investments. (tl;dr: that is how capital gains work, you rubes) While it may be fun to use the legal system to torment your enemies, this will also keep Trump's name in the news. Confidence in our institutions will continue to erode. I wonder if the media will resurrect the "Walls are closing in" meme. |
