Chibok Girl Freed from Boko Haram After 7 Years
2021-08-10
[PERSECUTION.ORG] Ruth Pagu, one of over 200 Chibok girls kidnapped by Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
in 2014, was freed this week and reunited with her parents.

According to Rooters, a man that Ruth had been forced to marry during her captivity surrendered himself to the military, freeing her in the process.

All Africa reported that Ruth was accompanied by her two children whom she bore during the 7-year period.

Ruth’s freedom means that there may be hope for the 100+ other girls who are still in captivity, whose families continue to pray to see their children once again.

Over the course of the past several years, some of the girls have managed to escape and explain what life was like in Boko Haram captivity. Rape was a regular part of the girls’ lives. They have also been witnesses to murders and at times been forced to commit murder themselves. Over half of the girls kidnapped were Christian and some of the girls that have been released report that Christians were treated especially harsh.
