Biden says he bears 'zero responsibility' for Afghanistan debacle
2021-08-14
[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant... or is that an act?...
says he bears "zero responsibility" if the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
end up retaking the country after 20 years of U.S. engagement and reimpose a regime of terror on the country's residents. The buck stops somewhere else.

#7  Actually, I'd put just as much blame on George W. Bush for getting us involved in Afghanistan in the first place. Then I'd blame Baraq for perpetuating Bush's mistake. Trump tried to get us out of there but was likely more concerned about doing it in a more orderly manner than what we see Biden doing.

WTF was Bush thinking? Osama bin Laden was not there and Bush knew it. Did he think he'd build a modern democracy out of a Stone Age culture like Afghanistan? It was never anything but a fool's errand, especially considering that the real problem was and continues to be in Pakistan.

Don't cry about the $700 million embassy complex that will soon fall under Taliban control or about all the expensive materiel the Taliban has already captured. It's gone and there is no point throwing good money after bad.

The lesson to be learned is that nation building is a dodgy business, especially in Third World hell holes. They probably wouldn't be Third World hell holes if the people who live there were worth the effort. I suppose it was worth it for the people who profit from war whether we win or lose.

But none of this is to say that Biden is not responsible. Don't forget that, as a senator, he voted to allocate funds for Bush's misadventure. Then as vice-president under Baraq, he was an active participant. Biden is a damn liar. As a member in good standing of the Beltway Party that kept this war going for 20 years, he bears as much responsibility as anyone.

And now he enjoys a summer vacation at Camp David while a disorderly, desperate, ignominious evacuation is underway in Kabul. Gotta wonder if he is even fully aware of what is happening.

Is it possible he is telling us the truth?

Since to deny such facts, would in a round-about way be admitting "he" is not actually running things in the White House as acting President?

#3  ..ah, come on, that's the core of Critical Race Theory, blaming all America for what the Democratic Party did. Everybody and everyone else is to blame, but never them.
