[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]  - New York City police charged Aaron Garcia, 37, of Yonkers with assault and attempted murder for a Sunday evening hatchet attack
- The attack was caught on video at a Chase Bank in lower Manhattan
- Surveillance video obtained by DailyMail.com shows Queens resident Miguel Solorzana, 50, standing at an ATM when the assailant sneaks up behind him
- Garcia allegedly slashed Solorzano multiple times before fleeing
- He suffered three slash wounds to his head, police said, and another slash wound to his right leg
- He was transported to Bellevue Hospital where he underwent two surgeries and remains in stable condition
- Police said Garcia remained in custody undergoing psychiatric evaluation at Bellevue as of Wednesday afternoon
- A close relative, who asked not to be named, said Garcia had previously served in the Army, and was not the same after his return from deployment to Iraq
- He was arrested in Chelsea on Tuesday evening, and is also wanted by the Yonkers Police Department
