| #14 Besoeker has a good batting average, and it does make a lot of sense for both sides to have a blackout. Suppose we should look for a leak about how it was Saudi Arabia's fault there overnight on 9/5 to build up outrageous outrage against S.A. leading up to the 20th anniversary of 9/11, then the tribute to end all tributes can focus on victims and blame, and skirt any Afghanistan coverage? |

| #5 ...The Biden Administration has Certain Parts Of Its Anatomy(TM) caught in a wringer here, and the only way I can see this ending with even a chance of getting the Americans out will be a deal where the Taliban (or worse, a 'Multinational' force)secures the outer perimeter of the airport as the last US military evacuates by 31 August and whatever Americans can get to Kabul by then will get pulled out by civilian or UN/Third Country operated aircraft. I hope like hell there's another way out but I ain't seeing it. Mike |
