#9  Oh good. Judges making medical decisions instead of doctors. That can't possibly go south.

#8  "Ooooooonly Dr. Fauxi's patented snake oil vaccine can protect you from COVID! All others are fraud! Fraud, I say! Accept no substitutes! My assistant is standing ready at the back of the wagon to help you obtain your own dose of this miracle elixir!"

Once upon a time, the postal service and later the FBI went after charlatans. Now they go after anyone who threatens the charlatan's gig. Read up on Wilhelm Reich. He was a quack and was treated as such.

Whatever you think, that is a rich statement right there.

#6  A Japanese study last spring of African statistics was supportive of the idea that Ivermectin could provide a benefit wrt covid. A recent follow-up tended to confirm. I think I saw that as a result Japan was endorsing the use of Ivermectin as another tool in the covid kit.

#3  Incidentally, the pre-print that started the ivermectin saga has been withdrawn
The paper summarized the results of a clinical trial seeming to show that ivermectin can reduce COVID-19 death rates by more than 90%1 — among the largest studies of the drug’s ability to treat COVID-19 to date. But on 14 July, after internet sleuths raised concerns about plagiarism and data manipulation, the preprint server Research Square withdrew the paper because of “ethical concerns”.

In other words, the authors are suspected of faking the data. Of course, to the true believers - it's just more evidence of suppression.

#2  US judge orders hospital to treat Covid patient with ivermectin

Rumors of worldwide (or, at least, USA wide) conspiracy to suppress the use of ivermectin seem to be (just a little bit) exaggerated.

I would like to recommend: Global trends in clinical studies of ivermectin in COVID-19
