#5 ...NASA has been pretty much hopeless for about four decades now. When my Dad went to work there just after the Challenger accident, he figured out PDQ that NASA's primary mission is transferring tax dollars to aerospace contractors - any science or tech they trip over along the way is a bonus, and hey, we still got Tang. #3 Well, NASA was told it couldn't afford the Constellation project, so it cancelled it and built SLS instead. |
