Salvation Army pulls anti-racism document after donor blowback
2021-12-01
[WASHINGTONTIMES] The Salvation Army said Monday it has withdrawn a discussion guide on racism that was intended for its church members but that an advocacy group claimed was given to donors as a call to "repent" for being White.

“If that document is getting in the way of the fulfillment of our mission, The Salvation Army is going to remove it," Commissioner Kenneth Hodder, the group’s U.S. national commander, told The Washington Times. "Because nothing can be allowed to affect the fulfillment of that critical mission."

The church group has been flooded by email complaints about repentance requests over its guide "Let’s Talk About Racism," one critic said. An online petition has garnered more than 14,000 signatures asking the organization to denounce Critical Race Theory

...teaches that skin color is the most important characteristic of any person, which translates to separate but equal with a different bunch in charge. All whites and Asians are born racist and racism permeates every aspect of society, which should be dismantled and the remains turned over to the kind of dipshit who pushes this nonsense...
Commissioner Hodder said that funds needed to meet "an enormous increase in human need" are under threat from "unfounded" allegations.

By his own words he admits the document is hurting funding, so they remove the document, not disavow the intent or attitude and policy, just hide it. Worse than anything he could have said! The racist minds and woke lapdogs have infested another worthy institution, and it will take a cleansing of Herculean scale to restore my trust. Pity, the SA and the Episcopal Church were once my mainstay charities of faith, now I find them risible.

#6  Somehow I think the donors that pulled their funding won't be giving it back.

#5  Imagine spending every waking hour obsessed with "what stupid idea can I embrace to feel better about myself today?"

#3  They pulled it for further 'review'. They didn't disavow it. BTW, it was put out by their office of International Social Justice in NYC. Did you dissolve the office? Come on, the title is a give away.

NOTE TO CORPORATE AMERICA:
If you are running a business and/or charity, stay the HELL out of Divisive Politics and Customer/Donor Alienating Special Interest Group causes.

Simply running your business or charity based on equality, honesty and fairness should be more than enough.

Because, there are dozens of ways to generally state some degree understanding of latest emotional $$$$ making cause for some 50 to 400 year old problem.
Without accepting or endorsing or forcing it on your workers, customers, and donors.
