Fredo Fired by CNN | |
2021-12-05 | |
![]() "This is not how I want my time at CNN to end," Cuomo said in a statement issued by a representative. "But I have already told you why and how I helped my brother," he continued. CNN confirmed the firing in a statement, and said that Cuomo had been "terminated ... effective immediately" as an outside law firm continues to investigate "his involvement with his brother’s defense."

#14 ...Apparently My takeaway there is that something else popped up and they are, as Merrick suggests, 86'ing him NOW before it gets even worse. Of course, it's going to get out eventually, so I can't wait. Mike |

#13 #6 Bingo. CNN is staging a pre-emptive strike, or risk of same, to preclude discovery at trial. That would open up all kinds of mischief and skullduggery involving, most likely, collusion with Steele, Simpson, Fiona Hill, and most damningly, Brennan and other CNN paid shills' crimes related to the Big Russia Hoax. |

#11 Well, being a "rising star" is the unstoppable force. The social media spawned "requirement to be likeable" is the immovable object. Mean tweets, anybody? |

#6 My guess is CNN wishes to limit knowledge of Chris Cuomo's multi-agency intelligence 'reach back' capability within CNN's network of sources, talking heads, and advisors. CNN now has a serious case of the cooties. The fear of discovery and litigation may have put their contacts and sources to flight, at least until the Cuomo crisis finds the memory hole. To assume Cuomo did not utilize these people to further his efforts is simply naive. Again, just a guess. |

#2 They're not done with Fredo. Note these ominous phrases about "additional information" that they will "continue to investigate": The network stated, “We retained a respected law firm to conduct the review, and have terminated him, effective immediately. “While in the process of that review, additional information has come to light. Despite the termination, we will investigate as appropriate,” the network continued. |
