#2 The US Navy had a Wargaming System before the start of WW2 that (as a programmer that got permission to make a cottage game out of it stated) accurately covered everything but two (2) Japanese weapon systems: (1) The Type 93 'Long Lance' Torpedo; and (2) Kamikazes. It is an interesting hypothetical to wonder what would have happened in the Imperial Japanese Navy had invested in an additional 20 long-range submarines and attacked US/Canadian shipping. |
