This is how rocks are cracked apart during the winter months and how prehistoric peoples made smaller rocks out of big rocks. They would pour water in holes drilled into a big rock in the winter, let it freeze, then build a fire over it to melt it, top it off, rinse and repeat. Got the bolder to split to the size they wanted. |
