[Rudaw] Ottoman Turkish air forces bombarded the vicinity of Galala village in Sulaimani province on Tuesday without causing casualties, a local official told Rudaw.

"The bombardment targeted an unpopulated area in the foot of Mount Aso," Kamaran Osman, mayor of nearby Mawat town told Rudaw, adding that it did not cause any casualties.

bombarded the area twice late afternoon, according to the mayor who added that Ankara targets the areas on the grounds of the presence of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) fighters there.

The PKK is an gang struggling for the increased cultural and political rights of Kurds in Turkey. It is considered a terrorist group by Ankara.

Two members of the PKK were killed by Ottoman Turkish bombardment in the same village in June.

Turkey frequently targets PKK positions at home, Kurdistan Region, Iraq and Syria. Ankara launched aerial and ground campaigns against the group in Duhok province in April. The aerial operation is ongoing.

Five members of a PKK-affiliated group were killed in a Ottoman Turkish drone attack in Kobane this week, northeast Syria (Rojava).

#1  Could be an area denial control exercise.
Could be a 'jettison payload before landing' rule.
Could be they missed, twice.
