NASCAR walks back approval of Brandon Brown's 'Let's go Brandon' coin sponsorship |
2022-01-04 |
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] Brandon Brown, the unintentional namesake of popular anti-Biden chant "Let's Go Brandon" will not be able to sport a sponsorship from LGBcoin afterall. According to Fox News, the partnership with the cryptocurrency has been pulled back from the announced 33 races that Brown was intended to display the sponsorship. Fox Business reports that Brown's spokesperson Maxwell Marcucci said that NASCAR "pulled back its approval of the sponsorship deal on Dec. 30, after the partnership with LGBcoin was announced." "After the announcement went live on Thursday morning, NASCAR acknowledged to us late that afternoon that we had received approval but that they now needed to discuss this at a higher level," Marcucci said. A NASCAR spokesperson went so far as to say that the driver jumped the gun by announcing the partnership between himself and the meme coin. This, however, has been disputed by Marcucci. #6 Just as COVID failed to wipe out approximately 1/3 of the human race, as was intended, the "reporter in a hijab at a NASCAR race" did not give the head office the excuse they wanted to ban all the crackers and "islamophobes," so this is plan B. |

#5 By and large LGB opponents are also big anti-gerbil-worming proponents, so NASCAR is alienating its fans in order to appease those who already hate it. Not a winning strategy. |

#4 #3 Professional sports seems intent on running off 50% of its viewership. The little helmet logos at the back of the NFL helmets with slogans like "Fight Hate" are not-so-subtle virtue signaling that I despise, just like the sloganing of the NBA basketball courts. |

#3 Peter Drucker said an organization can have one mission. As soon as it has two, it will fail at both. The C suite mania with wokeness portends lots of failure ahead. |

#1 1) Hit them with a lawsuit. 2) NASCAR will lose even more fans, including this one. It's getting to the point I'll skip the major races (Daytona 500, Talladega & the two road course races at Sonoma & Watkins Glen) and complete the ban. |
