| Government forces stray rounds of kill woman, injure others in Deir ez-Zor |

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – In order to support smugglers, the Syrian government forces randomly targeted military points of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), leading to the loss of a woman her life and the injury of three people, including two children on Monday in a town east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria. A clash with automatic weapons broke out between smugglers and SDF members, after which the government forces fired intense random bullets to support the smugglers and those working for the government forces, a local source from the town of Dhiban, east of Deir ez-Zor, which is run by the government forces, told North Press. “A woman lost her life and three others, including two children, were wounded by indiscriminate bullets fired by the government forces,” the source added. “The clashes, which lasted for more than two hours, were followed angry crowds in front of the government headquarters in response to the killing of the woman and the injured.” Iranian-backed factions along with the government forces run areas in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, west the Euphrates River.
