NIA nabs Al-Qaeda terrorist who planned blast in poll bound UP

[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency has arrested an al-Qaeda operative in connection with a conspiracy case to conduct kabooms in poll bound Uttar Pradesh.

The operative, Towheed Ahmad Shah is a resident of Badgam in Jammu and Kashmir

...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
. The case was originally registered by the Uttar Pradesh ATS against Shah who had entered into a conspiracy for recruiting members of the al-Qaeda affiliate AGH (Ansaar Gajwatul Hind) to commit acts of terror in Lucknow.

Earlier the NIA had arrested 5 persons in connection with the case and a chargesheet had also been filed. The probe revealed that Towheed was the criminal mastermind of the conspiracy to recruit the operatives and to commit acts of terror. He also oversaw the procurement of arms and ammunition apart from kabooms to be used in the blasts in Uttar Pradesh.

#5 Shockingly, my vindaloo recipe calls for beef. I did not serve it to Mr. Wife’s colleagues from Mumbai when they came to Cincinnati for meetings.

Congratulations on the fortuitous catch and successful interrogation, Dron. And thank you for sharing the background for what was otherwise utterly (hah!) incongruous to me. Is there a similar backstory to the schoolgirl hijab fuss? It makes no sense that suddenly it’s an issue.

A week ago, a band of bucolic hindoo toughies were out bullying moslem 'students' in the UP [that's a state]. An altercation ensued over the taste of chicken dumplings or something. And two kashmiri 'students' were thrashed. There was a hue and cry about the toxic masculinity in the news too.

Anyway, when the cops were processing them all, they found the two kashmiri 'students' were Al-Qaeda recruits, part of a cell for carrying out attacks. Their interrogation, which yours truly was privy to, got us prosecutable evidence on Towheed Shah. The village toughies, the hindu equivalent of your 'rednecks', are now local heroes. And quite understandably, they are now going about beating up people who 'fit the profile' of a no-gooder jihadi and drinking lot's of beer whilst singing patriotic songs. 😀
