DARAA, Syria (North Press) – A person was killed on Monday evening in the western countryside of Daraa, after being shot by unknown assailants. “The young man, Ahmed Abdurlaouf al-Rashdan, was directly shot and killed,” local sources told North Press. “The killing was carried out by unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle on the road between the city of Tafas and the town of Muzayrib in the western countryside of Daraa,” the sources added. “Al-Rashdan came from the town of Naf’a in al- Yarmouk Basin area in the western countryside of Daraa and lived in the town of Muzayrib after the second settlement process, which ended in the fall of last year,” the sources said. The killing of al-Rashdan is the sixth one in the city of Tafas and its environs in five days where seven people were killed, including Mus’ab al-Bardan, a member of the Central Committee in the Western Region. Despite the entire control of the Syrian government on Daraa and the reconciliation it made with residents, the governorate witnesses unrest and security chaos where killings have sharply increased.
