Prime Minister Morawiecki is pleased with Germany's decision. However, further steps are awaited
2022-02-23
[PolandDaily24] Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki positively assessed the information about the suspension of certification of the Nord Stream2 gas pipeline. "It is a voice of reason and loud opposition to the neo-imperialist attempts of the Kremlin," he said. He also noted that we expect further steps. "It is still not too late to stop Putin. Our solidarity has already defeated Russian imperialism once again - it is time to show the strength once again," stressed the Prime Minister.

"Due to the escalating conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the German government is suspending the approval process of the Russian-German Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline until further notice, Chancellor Olaf Scholz informed on Tuesday. In the light of recent events, the situation needs to be reassessed," said Scholz, explaining his decision.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, in his post on Facebook, assessed that this is positive news, but - he stressed - "we expect further steps".
