Open letter to TV watching western armchair generals
2022-03-01
For your amusement, dear Reader. You may enjoy it more if you drop down to the bottom of the post to learn who the The Saker is.
[thesaker.is] My dear TV western armchair generals,
Clearly not addressed to me — I’m not even a private.
I get it, I promise. I really do!

Your entire life you have been trained to see a successful military operations like so:

Victory US style!

Begin by bombing the shit of the "hadjis" or "sand n***ers" with bombs and missiles, then flatten their town à la Fallujah, then move in with heavy armor and shoot everything which still moves or breathes.
Actually, running armor into a city is what the Russians are doing now.

As I recall, the Battle of Fallujah began when Iraqi militia murdered a number of US contractors. US forces had little choice than to clear the town out.
Then distribute chewing-gums to a few kids while on video.

Then take the city center, drop a statue in front your embedded presstitutes, and then declare victory.

Then, after declaring victory, stay another 20 years or so (Blinken was clearly projecting!), ruin it completely, then leave it again and declare another brilliant victory.

And don’t forget to declare urbi at orbi
...urbi et orbi, for those who take their Latin straight, meaning to the city (Rome) and the world. One of the big Catholic prayers...
that you reserve the "right" to bomb the shit out of them anytime you deem it is needed. And fuck their sovereignty or anybody else’s while we are at it!
You seem to have the ideation of US air operations as a pilot jumping into a fully loaded out aircraft and bombing the first target they see. That is how the US liberal sees them.
In fact, US air operations are carefully based on intelligence gathered and plans laid, including the target and the ordnance to be used. It is a long and complicated process before the pilot even finishes his cup of coffee before getting in the aircraft for his sortie.
I suspect that the Russian air force is much the same.
US tactical airstrike pilots now are required to fill out a form before any ordnance is released, and to request clearance for the bombing run.
You simplifying it the way you have simply shows your deep. deep ignorance of military and their operations.

Lastly, once home, don’t forget to "thank" your "veterans" for their "service".

I get it.

Now YOU try, please!!

Now, in spite of this conditioning, please at least try to understand the following points:

First, the Russians do not see Ukrainian as Hadjis but as their own brothers.
The Holodomor suggests a Cain and Abel kind of relationship. So does Putin’s suggestion about using nukes.
Second many/most LDNR soliders have relatives in the Nazi occupied Ukraine.
And in Russia, no doubt. Ditto for Ukrainians. Probably quite a few have a Jewish ancestor or several somewhere in their family tree, however unnoticed.
Third, yes, Russia can turn any Ukrainian city into Fallujah, but who do you think will then have to pay for its reconstruction?
You’re brothers, right? So taking care of them after you break their things comes with the territory... or something like that.
Fourth, please understand that the double goals of 1) denazification and 2) disarmament implies that any person which is not a Nazi or is not armed and hostile is not, repeat, NOT the target of the Russian armed forces.
That Jewish guy who is president is a Nazi? Wow. His colleagues who like the Jewish guy and voted for him — also Nazis? The original Nazis would have been appalled.
Fifth, the Ukie military was 80% defeated on Day 1.
Uh huh.
Get that? It was gone as a coherent fighting force. THAT is why they are blowing up bridges, distributing weapons and releasing convicted criminals. NOT because they are winning! I mean — how stupid are you if you believe that? Ukie stupid?

Seriously?

Right now you are the object of probably the biggest PSYOP operation in history.
The biggest? That can’t possibly be right in this time of Covid. Anybody here at Rantburg know anything about PSYOPs who could explain it to me?
If you realize that and treat these PSYOPs as you should, that is as "informational warfare from the bad guys" you will be able to tell your kind and grandkids "I never believed that crap". Good for you!

But if you don’t, well then, just don’t tell too much about you in 2022 to your kind and grandkids, save yourself the ridicule and embarrassment...

That’s it. My very last attempt to wake you up. From now on, I will pretend like you don’t exist and instantly ban any comments parroting kind of self-evident nonsense.
Promise?
Now I will quietly leave your room, switch off the lights, and let you watch your TVs.

Andrei

PS: I know the blogs load slow. We made hardware changes and we might have to do more. But that costs (lots) of money and time. We are doing our best with our means, but with both UncleShmuel and Soros out there to "get us" to the tune of billions of dollars spent, they are definitely winning and holding the upper hand in this informational war. Wanna help? SPREAD THE INFO as much as you can and SEND MORE MONEY for our IT. That is what "Biden" and Soros have that we don’t: many people and many dollars. That’s just a fact.

#18  Russian (and Chinese) propaganda is so good that the people who have been destroying the industrial base here for the last thirty years and empowering Putin think they've been doing a Good Thing.

We're in a situation where, if this were WW2, we'd be paying for Mussolini's _and_ Hitler's militaries and begging Hitler to keep Mussolini in check. this is a nightmare to me.

It’s not as much fun attacking a hardened fortification. ;-)

#15  Russian propoganda, well soviet propoganda, was really good. It gave us the anti-nuke movement that left so many buying Russian and Arab oil. it gave us the environmental movement that had us cripple our own oil production. It gave us the seeds of race divisions when they couldn't exploit class divisions in most of the west.

It took time, but they were really good at it.

#14  Frank, I think I read sometime today that Russia has some 600 billion dollars's worth of various foreign currencies in its reserves. So I don't think there's going to be a "they'll run out of money!" solution to either the war problem or the troll problem.

#13  They seemed to have slowed down. Perhaps troll-checks aren't on time or clearing?

#12  I always thought the Russian propaganda was a bit more subtle... This guy is a Karen of an extreme extent. I'm glad to hear the Kremlin loving left is still into the name calling and Nazi seems to be the name of the day. If it was not so over the top I would have been angry. But this is just comical...

Saker seems to forget the precision guided shock and awe in which we destroyed Saddam's command and control facilities, his communications and his logistics thereby rendering his military useless and unable to offer any organized resistance. In only a couple of days our tanks rolled into Baghdad unopposed. Contrast that with Putin's clumsy and heavy handed stumbling. The Ukrainian resistance is still well organized and a serious threat to the invaders. Russian tanks remain stalled outside of Kiev.

IIRC, the battle at Falluha was against a disorganized bunch of jihadis who were hopped up and drugs and died like dogs.

#7  35,000+ views for that post alone in his site. If you want to know what the Democrats think you look at Daily Kos. If you want to see what the Russians are saying to one another his site is a place to start. Living in an echo chamber leads to miscalculation

Because this mouth-breather suckle from the same Soviet teat as the average US leftist.

#5  Fourth, please understand that the double goals of 1) denazification and 2) disarmament implies that any person which is not a Nazi...

And deciding who qualifies as a "Nazi" will be... Russian thugs!

I sort of miss those videos of people crowding the side of the road cheering, waving flags, and throwing flowers. Strange that.
