| Manbij countryside hit with more than 50 Turkish shells in a week |

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – Several villages in the countryside of Manbij were hit with more than fifty shells of the Turkish forces and the affiliated opposition factions during the past week. The Turkish bombardment ramped up during the last two weeks of last February, and several villages adjacent to the contact lines in the countryside of Manbij were hit almost daily with shelling, a well-informed military source told North Press. On Monday, the villages that are on the line separating the forces of the Manbij Military Council and the Turkish-backed opposition factions in the northern and northwestern countryside of Manbij, were bombed by the Turkish forces. “From their base in the village of Sheikh Nasser, the Turkish forces bombed the villages of al-Yalanli and Qart Wiran, northwest of Manbij, with ten mortar shells, ” a special source told North Press. On Wednesday, the villages of al-Tokhar al-Kabir and Aoun al-Dadat, north of the city of Manbij, north Syria, were hit with twelve mortar shells by the Turkish forces and the affiliated opposition factions.
