#5  I enjoyed the stories like Samson and David's, where scores of 'philistinians' were getting slain every minute.

#4  Happy Purim, indeed. :-) The proper way to celebrate is Carnival/Fasching style: costumes, pastries (to use up the flour before Passover), listening to the reading of the story, and some insist it is necessary to get so drunk they can’t tell the difference between "Cursed be Haman" and "Blessed be Mordecai."

#3  Not closing off the West Bank is huge. As countries slowly begin to normalize their relations with Israel, even the Palestinians are getting tired of acting like Palestinians.
Happy Purim! (or however you say that)

#1  “The festival of Purim commemorates the Divinely orchestrated salvation of the Jewish people in the ancient Persian Empire from Haman’s plot “to destroy, kill and annihilate all the Jews, young and old, infants and women, in a single day.” It is celebrated with Megillah readings, gifts of food, charity, feasting, and merriment.”
