Unidentified gunmen kill former member of opposition in Daraa |

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, unidentified gunmen shot dead a former member of the opposition factions in Daraa northern countryside, south Syria. Local sources told North Press that the man named Muhammad Maamon al-Shehadat was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Da’el, a town in Daraa northern countryside. The source added that al-Shehadat was a former member in the opposition factions who signed the Russian-sponsored 2018 settlement agreement but didn’t join the government forces. On a similar subject, local sources told North Press that unidentified attackers, using an improvised explosive device (IED), had targeted on Wednesday a car belonging to a member of the government forces in Daraa, causing damage to his car. The sources added that the car, which belonged to Hussein al-Mufaalani, a member of the government’s Military Security Branch, was targeted with an IED by unidentified attackers in al-Dahia neighborhood in Daraa.
