| Turkish-backed faction arrests civilian in Afrin |

ALEPPO NORTHERN COUNTRYSIDE, Syria (North Press) – The Turkish-backed Military Police faction arrested yesterday a person from Afrin region, northern Syria. Members of the Military Police faction arrested Muhammad Mustafa, nicknamed Hamouda Mist Kinki, from his shop in the village of Shekhotka in the Maabatli district on the pretext that he previously served in the self-defense duty (military conscription in the era of the of the Autonomous Administration), local source told North Press. Muhammad was transferred to an unknown destination without any information about his fate until now, the source added. Muhammad was arrested three times previously and on the same charge, and he was released after his relatives paid huge sums of money to the factions. Since March 2018, the city of Afrin and its countryside have been under the control of the Turkish-backed armed factions. The factions continue to commit violations in the Afrin region, including kidnapping, arresting, killing, and seizing the property of the indigenous population and selling it to factions’ members and settlers.
