'Why is his face not mutilated yet?': Russian general dubbed the 'Butcher of Mariupol' demands to know why one of his soldiers 'has not had his ears cut off' for failing to wear his uniform properly in chilling audio
2022-03-25
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev heard berating junior officer for not cutting off the ears of a private who had been caught not wearing his uniform properly, according to intercepted phone call

  • Mizintsev, who is overseeing siege of Ukranian city Mariupol, called for private to have his 'face messed up'

  • Mizintsev is likely behind orders to bomb maternity hospital and theatre, potentially killing hundreds

  • As head of Russia's National Centre for Defence, Mizintsev is likely to have helped devise battle plans in Syria

  • In 2016, Aleppo was subjected to many of the same horrors as Mariupol - with hospitals targeted, cluster munitions and incendiary bombs rained down on civilians, and chemical weapons used

#15  Why should I care about Putin? How does it benefit Americans to prolong this war? They're now predicting a recession. My oil industry friends are expecting oil to reach $200 a barrel. I'm with Tucker Carlson on this. Biden is just making us poorer. If the American people could hear straight talk about the impact of Biden's policies they'd reject them in a heartbeat. No thanks.

#14  The speed some people go from an example of how bad Putin is to "we should stay out of it!" is amazing.

Who said we should get involved? Can't we just recognize what a monster and loser Putin it?

#13  Sounds like something the Capital police chief would say.

#12  Let me tell you of the boxing our team got after a paper-game attack on a Christmas Tree fire, and team leader took us through the garage, and especially without bracing the door.

It was only mildly grosser than the team which parked in the alley under the power lines.

#11  Well for one being improperly in uniform doesn't rise to the level of offence of, for example, using the incorrect pronouns o misgendering someone.

#10  I get it, it's horrible and Putin's a war criminal but there's nothing in Ukraine that justifies screwing over Americans. It feels like everyone in Washington is screaming for war with Russia but nobody outside Washington gives a shit. Don't the people count anymore? What happened to honest debate?

#9  Thanks to attention hunger among even soldiers these days and a compulsive sensationalism in the MSM, even an argument in the ranks on either side is going to be advertised within an hour as a mutiny. There's mutiny! Chaos in the (insert country) army!

A misplaced boot in one camp could blow up to be one news of Russians are marching barefoot in snow in fear of Putin!

Thank Rantburg.com for the multiple povs and spirited analyses. Anybody who doesn't read you is unfortunate indeed.

#8  Honestly I'm sick of hearing about "world war 3" or "war crimes" or anything about these countries and their problems. None of our business. Not our problem.

Can't we stay out of the world's hellholes for once? And take care of our own instead of screwing Americans with higher prices for everything?

#6  Why is this our problem?

What vital US interest us there in Ukraine? These sanctions are an act of war. Was there a vote in the Senate? Why should Americans and the rest of the world be punished?
Fuck Joe Biden and fuck his foolish sanctions

#5  We hear ya Dale. Putin's on top of the world, while his generals torture soldiers in combat zones for minor infractions.

#4  If the Russians are having the problems being reported with conscripts, it might not be such a bad idea for a recording of this type to be magically leaked. As the far less merciful Sam Mooney once put it, 'if they want to believe, let 'em believe.'.

#3  Going Van Gogh on anyone not wearing a proper uniform in a combat zone where vehicles are being abandoned due to poor tire maintenance is some high quality leadership.

#2  This reminds me of the Russians protecting The homeland against the Germans. Shooting solders who retreated. War is hell as they say. Certainly this general would not last long in our woke army's. Putin wants results He wants this war over a quickly as possible. The call for Mariupol to stand down passed. This war is a collection of many stories. Putin is there to stay. Impose all the sanctions you wish. NATO of Asia has just been born. America has been weakened and isolated thanks to this administration. Perceived as week and lacking intelligent leadership Allies realize America has become a paper dragon. Countries like India and Israel will cozy up to the new power brokers on the block who happen to be much closer neighbors. I am not anti American. I merely glean information and interpret it. This is my opinion.
