[CSNBC Afrika] “Mad Mike” Hoare was a legendary mercenary and adventurer who came from Ireland. After fighting in the 2nd World War, he made South Africa his home, and Africa his playground.

His many exploits and adventures are detailed in the biography “Mad Mike” Hoare: The Legend. His son, Journalist Chris Hoare, wrote the biography and joins CNBC Africa’s Jill de Villiers in the studio to discuss the book.
