#4 The problem every base commander has. More of a problem in totalitarian regimes, but a whack job can happen anywhere. |

#3 So the crews sleep in quarters next to the flight line. The generally sleep on the furthest side of the building as to not be bothered by other aircraft taxiing by. So getting up and going to an aircraft without anyone noticing is easy. Starting a Blackhawk as a single pilot is not that difficult. It is classified as a two pilot aircraft but it is very capable of being flown by one person. So I am assuming the question is if it was suicide or was he in a deep sleepwalk induced by meds. If the CPT was stealing the aircraft it would be easy. |

#2 It's a twisty story any way you see it. There weren't any Security airmen walking post when this went down? |

#1 was the only one killed or injured as all of the other crewmembers were asleep at that time Ha ha ha! Those Daily Mail schmucks. Reading it one would visualise a rotorhead starting up a chopper with men on it sleeping in their harnesses like babes, the bird then yawing drunkenly through the sky and smashing into another one. And only the errant pilot died because the rest were too busy still sleeping to die. 😁 |
