In a statement released yesterday, Ahrar al-Jabal gathering called for trying criminals and those involved with them of the Syrian government security services members.

"We rejected and are still rejecting injustice and corruption by the factional regime that marginalized the free-thought people with experience in running affairs of society and the state, and displaced and killed our sons and brothers," read the statement that was publicized by Sheikh Sulieman Abdulbaqi, a leader of the gathering, on his Facebook account.

"We reject killing, chaos and crime in Suwayda governorate particularly and throughout Syria, as we call for trying criminals and those involved with them of the government security services," the statement added.

The statement called on Syrians to band together to reach a "Syrian democratic just state based on separation of power without partisan, sectarian or ethnic discrimination and adopting the principle that religion to God and the homeland for everyone and without a monopoly of power."
