Six members of the government forces were killed on Saturday in an attack by ISIS members on their car on the outskirts of al-Shola town, south of Deir ez-Zor, east of Syria. The 17th division had lost contact with a group of six members at dawn on Saturday, a military source in the government forces’ 17th Division told North Press Hours after losing contact, the six members were found dead with several gunshot wounds on the outskirts of al-Shola, according to the source. Shepherds, who were close to the incident, confirmed that the government forces’ members were killed in a clash with members of ISIS on cycle of violences and were raising the flag of the organization. After the attack, they took the weapons and fled towards the depths of the desert, the source added. The Syrian Badia region constitutes a source of concern for the pro-Iranian militias and the government forces, as it witnesses intensive operations of ISIS cells. On April 11, four members of the pro-Iranian militias were killed in a missile attack on their point east of Homs.
