CIA Analyst Comments on Logistics in the Ukrainian Russian Conflict
2022-05-07
[Foreign Policy Research Institute] After six weeks of combat, where is the Russo-Ukrainian War going? Modern technology both facilitates and hampers the answer to that question. Every day, this war is evaluated from every angle and perspective, but modern technology provides only a soda-straw view of the war’s entire canvas. This article will try to discern that larger canvas of the war, including a focus on casualties, information operations and morale, and logistics to see how they and the tactical correlation of forces may influence several possible strategic outcomes.

#8  In war time both sides prefer the version that makes them look best, leaving us to decided who was the bull-shitter.

#7  The acid test for whether the political right in America can break the GOPe stranglehold will be if we can stop stuff like the Ukraine Adventureâ„¢. I want Rand Paul for Sec of State and Sec of Health simultaneously.

#6  Found out today people called up to assist supervision of very large transfer of military products to who knows where. Interstate heavy transport of military equipment. People retired FEMA in their 80's dispatched to one location that I am aware of. That location is Dulles international Airport for my contact Monday. Same person was dispatched Jan 6th and one other event he could not elaborate but I believe Ukraine related. All sorts of security equipment. They scan everything and they can see if you wear underwear or not. Sign of our times.

#2  Truth is, Russia has always sucked at logistics. In the days of the USSR, massive amounts of food 'got lost' or spoiled because it couldn't get to where it needed to be. Part of that is caused by lack of transport, part of it is the natural xenophobia Russians have towards anybody "not from around here".
